GRADE "A" SCHOOL - AZ DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
No lunches will be served and students must be off campus immediately following dismissal.
ILP CONFERENCES
At Horizon Honors we value the student-parent-teacher triangle. This partnership helps our students reach their potential. Parent involvement is key and can be established during the ILP (Individual Learning Plan) conferences as you and your child together review their progress and set goals. The plan will cover topics, tasks, and learning outcomes your child is expected to achieve by the end of the quarter.
PARENTS! Spring 2021 AzMERIT Results are in and were handed out in English class September 23rd & 24th. Each student that took ELA and Math tests in the Spring were given their results.

Please check with your student(s) and ask them to dig the report out of their backpack. Keep in mind that not every student took the tests. Also, we did not receive results for the AzSCi tests that last years' 8th & 10th graders took.

Making an Impact in the Classroom
This school year, Horizon Honors has welcomed Officer Jeremy Martin as our new School Resource Officer thanks to the School Safety Grant Program through the Arizona Department of Education. As a part of his work on our campus Officer Martin delivers lessons developed by the Department of Education to develop social and emotional awareness within students, help students to learn about the law, and cultivate skills within students to make safe choices for themselves and their communities. Recently, Officer Martin has been working with our 7th grade students in their Digital Citizenship and Technology classes delivering lessons on the importance of identifying emotions and productively managing those emotions. With the support of Mrs. Wallace and Mrs. Tagle, our Secondary Student Advisors, Officer Martin has engaged in some wonderful discussions with our seventh grade students. This series of lessons will continue throughout the remainder of first quarter and into the first weeks of second quarter.
