Horizon would like to welcome our new Board Members: Mark Schreiner & Clare Westley. The Executive Board also has a new edition, Jim Novalinski is Vice President. With their hard work and motivation, Horizon will continue to grow.

Great Job Fall Weekend Committee

Another fabulous Fall Weekend went off without a hitch! We had 36 fun-filled hours of geo-caching, games, and awesome food! Thank you, campers, attendants, John Lee, and the wonderful ladies who helped out and are newcomers to the Horizon family.

Annual Raffle 2016

Selling raffle tickets is a wonderful way to help raise money and give people a fun way to support Horizon Camp. Remember each raffle ticket is $5, and there are 80 chances to win in 2016! Spread the word with your family and friends. Remember to send your ticket stubs and checks into Katy.

Feature Highlight: Clare Westley

Clare Westley has been a supporter of Horizon for many years. She attended MDA camp from 1978-1988 with her brother Rich Westley, who is one of Horizon's founders. While Clare didn't continue to attend camp, Horizon is still very important to her. "Horizon is important to me because it does what it was set out to from the beginning."

Clare volunteers for Horizon by being on committees and attending fundraisers. She has helped at the Golf Outing and was on the Golf Committee last year. This year Clare is the chairperson of the committee and has just joined the Board of Directors.

Clare lives on the North Side of Chicago and has a 24-year old daughter. She has worked for a limousine company for the past 22 years and she loves to do crafts.

Shop With A Friend

Get in the holiday spirit on November 21st with us at Gurnee Mills Mall for a fun filled day of shopping.

9:00 AM - Continental breakfast at the Hampton Inn.

10:00 AM - Give out gift bags and then head to the mall.

11:45 AM - Lunch at the Dine-O-Rama Food Court. You will need to provide your own money to cover the cost of lunch.

6:30 PM - Gift wrapping/Dinner at the Hampton Inn conference room. Horizon will provide the necessary items you will need to wrap your gifts and will also provide dinner.

Have You Seen Horizon's New Hoodies?

Horizon has great new apparel available for purchase, including snuggly, warm hoodies. You can buy them for just $25 at Horizon events. While you're out supporting Horizon, don't forget to grab a hoodie to help keep you warm this winter!
