The Aiken Horse Park Foundation is incredibly grateful to Horizon Structures for their dedicated support!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 8, 2025

AIKEN, SOUTH CAROLINA: The Aiken Horse Park Foundation (AHPF) is pleased to announce Horizon Structures has signed a four-year agreement, establishing a long-term partnership and naming Horizon Structures as the “Official Building Partner” of the AHPF. Horizon Structures has been a sponsor of the AHPF’s Grand-Prix Eventing Showcase (GPE) since 2024, and this growth of the relationship between the two organizations is a natural next step.

While still holding a major role during the GPE, Horizon’s expanded support will include a presence at all horse shows held at Bruce’s Field. The increasingly popular Horizon Structures Ring Side Hospitality Suite will continue to be a fixture at the GPE for years to come (February 27 & 28, 2026). Additionally, Horizon Structures will have representatives onsite at the upcoming October at Bruce’s Field hunter/jumper shows (October 16 – 19 & 23 – 26, 2025) and serve as the $25,000 Grand Prix sponsor October 25th, 2025.

Justin Zook, Horizon Structures COO, commented:

“We absolutely love the people of Aiken and are honored to be part of such a great community. Partnering with the Aiken Horse Park Foundation as their Official Building Partner is a privilege, and we’re excited to continue supporting their mission and serving the Aiken area for years to come.”

Guests at Bruce’s Field have surely noticed the beautiful, custom judges’ booths at all 4 Hunter rings built by Horizon Structures. But just within the past month, the AHPF has added another gorgeous Horizon Structures barn to Bruce’s Field, now serving as the permanent on-site veterinarian and farrier station.

"Horizon Structures have quickly become a favorite addition to the layout of Bruce’s Field. Their attention to detail and world class craftsmanship exemplifies the high standards we hold to at the AHPF. The addition of our Hunter judges booths last year made a huge difference in our officials’ experience, and the new Farrier/Vet Station has already proven itself to be an incredible luxury. We’re thrilled to have the Horizon Structures Team’s support of the legacy we’re building here in Aiken, and their commitment to our MISSON of promoting Aiken’s equestrian way of life and encouraging the community’s civic, educational, and charitable endeavors."

The MISSION of the Aiken Horse Park Foundation is to promote Aiken’s equestrian way of life and to encourage the community’s civic, educational, and charitable endeavors.

Our VISION is to honor and preserve Bruce's legacy by maintaining and enhancing Bruce's Field as the pinnacle of equestrian excellence in the United States. We are committed to nurturing this historic property, blending state-of-the-art facilities with the cherished heritage of the land and community. Inspired by Bruce's dedication to stewardship and generosity, we partner with our community to support charitable, educational, and civic initiatives. We strive to be a vibrant, welcoming venue at the heart of Aiken, deeply rooted in respect, compassion, and the enduring spirit of our founder's dream.

Bruce's Legacy

When Bruce Duchossois acquired the field in 2000, he did so with a vision of its past, present, and future as a fixture of Aiken’s equestrian tradition. While his immediate goal was to save the land from residential development, Bruce’s dream was to grow it into South Carolina’s premier equestrian facility—maintaining its historic character, and paying forward the generosity of his predecessors.

Knowing he may not live to see his dream realized, Bruce created a Foundation to carry on his vision that “Bruce’s Field” may provide future generations with a place to hold the kinds of events that he cherished—old-fashioned venues with character and integrity; not an international horse park, but an intimate field in the center of the celebrated Horse District, where riders from the youngest lead line toddlers to the strongest Grand Prix competitors can come several times a season and compete on the best quality surfaces; not limited in its use, but a place where the City of Aiken’s many charitable and civic endeavors may be held for the benefit and enjoyment of all residents and visitors.

Bruce dearly loved Aiken and was so thankful for what it gave him. He offered this gift to the people and to the city knowing that he would not be able to enjoy it himself, and asking nothing in return but that others enjoy it in his stead.

These shows seek to provide the kind of experience that Bruce cherished—old-fashioned venues with character and integrity, held on an intimate field in the center of the celebrated Horse District, where riders from the youngest lead line toddlers to the strongest Grand Prix competitors can compete on the best quality surfaces.
