Substance Abuse Challenges Facing Edina Youth

Parents/guardians are welcome to meet Principal Beaton
for our one hour "Up Close with the Principal" session. 

Attendees will be briefed about: academic interventions, universal accommodations, and chemical health protocols and related programming. The session will conclude with a brief Q&A. 

At 9:00 am, adults have the option to attend their student’s ongoing first period class, linger for more Q&A, or depart, signing out at the office.
Our student leadership members will escort adults to classrooms. 

This event is sponsored by your Edina High School PTO. Please obtain a Visitor check-in pass at door 5 or 6 when you enter the high school.
Parking Permit Fee Due
Parking permits have been assigned and the fee for the
permit has been uploaded into the Infinite Campus Fee account of carpool member 1. This fee can be paid online or in person with cash or check.  Fees must be paid by October 4th . Permits that have not been paid for at that time will be suspended. If you have questions about how to pay the fee online, please see the tutorial below.

The Cake-Off is back and its better than ever before! 
Join us to kick-start the new school year and raise some much needed funds for our student's education. Spend a morning viewing and bidding on impressive, locally crafted cakes and raise funds to support our Edina Public Schools. We will highlight the Edina Education Fund's important work while you enjoy a light breakfast, time with fellow community members and, of course, cake!

Edina High School Information
Both the Writing Center and the SMATH Center are open!
 Both tutor centers are staffed by 11th and 12th grade peer tutors and a supervising teacher. Students seeking help with a paper for any subject can stop in the Writing Center for a peer coaching session. 
Students seeking help with science or math homework can
stop in the SMATH center for tutor assistance. 
Both Tutor Centers are open each period of the day so that students
 can access them during their student prep hour.
All licensed EHS staff will have consistent office hours each week to work with students outside the bell schedule. 
Attendance - New Online Procedure to Report an Absence

New online process to excuse your student(s) from Edina High School! 
( This online system is for Edina High School only. )

Our goal is to move all student attendance request for
Edina High School to the  online system .  

For the 2019-2020 school year, families will have the option to use the   online system   or call the attendance line. 

If you are unable to access the parent portal, please email  for your login information. 

Parents/Guardians are the only people who can excuse students.

Weekly time for Intervention or Enrichment during the school day.
Flex block is teacher driven time that takes place on Thursdays thoughout the school year. 

Students can ask to be selected to meet with a teacher for the following:
  • Feedback
  • Re-teaching
  • Acceleration of learning
  • Test make up
  • College and Career Readiness(CCR)
  • Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

Students in 9th grade will be assigned to a teacher classroom.

Students who are not assigned by a teacher in 10th, 11th and 12th grade can select the following options:

  • Teacher session
  • Quiet study (Media Center)
  • Collaborative study (Commons/Cafeteria)
  • Fitness Class
  • College and Career Center
  • Open session/Special program
  • Home - ONLY 11th and 12th grade students may leave campus if they have an Open Campus sticker and are NOT assigned by a teacher.
