Attendance - New Online Procedure to Report an Absence

New online process to excuse your student(s) from Edina High School!
( This online system is for Edina High School only. )

Our goal is to move all student attendance request for
Edina High School to the  online system .

For the 2019-2020 school year, families will have the option to use the   online system   or call the attendance line.

If you are unable to access the parent portal, please email  for your login information.

Parents/Guardians are the only people who can excuse students.

Parents: The yearbook, Whigrean, welcomes photo and story contributions from parents about students involved in school
activities or other unique endeavors. We especially welcome and encourage candid (non-posed) photos of students, both individually and in groups, in action. Please identify students in the photo and the context of the photo (what they were doing), along with
any relevant background information.
Send photos to the Whigrean adviser, Ellen Guerin, at . Please understand that we
reserve the right to make final determinations as to what is included in the printed book.
EHS Students: Please use the Google form on the EHS Whigrean website to submit club information about upcoming events that you want the yearbook to cover. Alternatively, feel free to email the
adviser, Ms. Guerin.
Looking for lawyers : The Edina Mock Trial program is looking for volunteers to help coach our high school teams. No Mock Trial experience is necessary, but it’s helpful to have courtroom experience. Edina typically fields three teams, including a 9 th  grade team. Each team has at least two coaches and the program has an administrator who handles scheduling and logistics. The Mock Trial season runs from mid-October to early February and involves a time commitment of about 3 hours a week. If you are interested or would like more information, contact John Justice at .
Parenting Questions?

We can help! A class on Parenting High School Students meets at the Edina Community Center once a month, 11:30am-1:00pm generally on the second Thursday, and offers time to connect with other parents of high school students, with discussion facilitated by a Licensed Parent Educator. Topics include adolescent brain development, emerging independence, dating, parties and dances, preparing for college, technology and social networking, and substance use. Topics are flexible and reflect the interests of the group.
For questions about the class, email .
