Six SFPD officers delivered a truckload of donations, gathered by SFPD officers and staff to MNC’s Wolfsohn Campus for our MNC Open Arms Program. MNC Board Member Lt. Christina Serrano and Captain Sean Perdomo, Officer Edward Gamble, Officer Jordan Coverson, Officer Edgar Rangel, and Intern Anita De Sousa came by to personally deliver clothes and toys. The officers toured the campus and met our Family Services Team to learn about the direct impact the donations will have for the families and community we serve.

MNC Housing & Homelessness Prevention proudly played a role in the Chinatown Lunar New Year Block Party 2026! We engaged the Chinatown community, enhanced MNC program awareness, and established connections with community-based organizations. More than 100 individuals visited the MNC outreach booth, distributed over 30 SF ERAP (San Francisco Emergency Rental Assistance Program) flyers in Chinese and in English.

Prior to the block party, we distributed flyers in the Chinatown Rose Pak Station area. The team reached out to community-based organizations by visiting their offices in Chinatown including Chinese for Affirmative Action (CAA) where we introduced MNC services, SF ERAP, and explored potential avenues for collaboration and Wu Yee Children’s Services showed interest in promoting MNC and SF ERAP information on their community website.

Our Lunar New Year Block Party involvement allowed us to engage with many community members while reinforcing our relationships with local organizations for potential future collaboration.

Eight MNC children from MNC Alemany Campus took a fun trip to the library. The children participated in circle time with the librarian. They read books, sang songs, did movements and danced. Afterwards the children browsed through the library and read books with teachers or on their own. The children were great and followed expectations, like using quiet voices and walking feet. Later they got to go outside to the library park where they had a snack and then played for a while.
