A Special Note About Donations
|

Special Note about donations
while we are unable to offer in-person worship:
We just want to let you know how you can still make donations to Hosanna during this crisis. Our operations and expenses still continue even though we are not meeting in person.
PAR:
If you are on PAR, everything will proceed like normal – thank you.
If you would like to join PAR, let us know we will send you the form (or you can pick one up at the office).
Mail/Mailbox:
You can mail in your donations (some of you already do this – thank you), or you can drop them off at the office or in the locked mailbox by the front door.
Online:
You can also donate online via credit card. Here is the link to the Hosanna website page with the donation link:
If you give online, please note a couple of things,
1)
you will receive a receipt from
Canadahelps
- not Hosanna.
2)
This option costs the church the most, as we pay a fee for the credit card and a fee to Canadahelps. It is not huge, so this remains a viable option, but if you can do one of the other choices, your money goes a bit further.

- You Pick Hymns has returned for the summer! This means we need you to send in your favorite’s name, number (if possible), and why you like it. Submissions can be sent to Pastor Anna at [email protected] or by phoning the church office.
- Did you know that the Food Bank distribution centre at our church has been open throughout the pandemic? We are so thankful for our volunteers, as Hosanna was one of the few distribution centres that remained open to folk, when they were needed the most! Now that things are opening up a bit more, we are wondering if there are any members of Hosanna that would like to take on volunteering to distribute food to food bank clients on Thursday afternoons. If you would like to volunteer on a Thursday afternoon please let Lena know at the church office or text/call Nina Tanti at 780-619-3031 or email [email protected] or Liz Tanti at 780-993-2806 or email at [email protected]. Thanks.
- The devotional resource, God’s Story, Our Story, is on the Hosanna website.
- Check out The Church at Home, a blog series by Gregory Rawn of Spirit and Truth Publishing, the publisher of the curriculum we use for Sunday School, youth forum and Thursday morning Bible study. Each week he provides a brief reflection on the lesson as well as Living the Word: Sharing God’s Story @ Home, a resource to guide daily devotional time for the upcoming week.
- The 2021 Shepherd’s Guide Directory has arrived. Please call the church office if you would like one.
- If committees would like to meet by ZOOM, please contact Pr. Anna for setup details.
- Usher & Offering Counter volunteers: please keep an eye on the HAPPENINGS for future scheduling.

This will be a valuable resource to support the health and wellness of our senior community. Here is the link to the website that posts both videos and a PDF to print-out the exercise instructions.
- I-have-an-idea Funds Any ideas? As part of the establishment of the ELFEC investment fund, Finance has set up the three new funds as approved at the annual meeting in 2019: Project Fund, Sustainability Fund, and Mission & Ministry Fund. We're accepting donations to these funds and your ideas. You can submit ideas for congregational projects through the bright pink "I have an idea" forms above the Black Counter. Hand your idea in to the office or by email to [email protected]
