About our Volunteer Services Program:

The Volunteer Services Program at Foothills Country Hospice aims to prioritize the personal and transformative journey of community volunteers by providing meaningful opportunities for individuals to contribute their time and skills. The program encourages a diverse array of volunteers with varied backgrounds and abilities, valuing the unique skills each individual brings. Through a combination of in-person and online education, volunteers utilize their existing skills and acquire new ones, enhancing the overall effectiveness of hospice support services. Since 2023, volunteer efforts significantly expanded community grief support initiatives, creating connections between local healthcare and non-healthcare organizations. Key programs such as Compassionate Conversations, NODA (No One Dies Alone), and Nav-CARE heavily rely on volunteer dedication. Beyond skill development, the program fosters fulfillment and connection, offering volunteers personal growth, heightened community awareness, and a deep sense of purpose, making it a transformative experience for both volunteers and the community they serve.
