This month we welcome Certified Hospice & Palliative Care physician Dr. Sandy Gordon-Kolb as the new Chief Medical Director of our rapidly growing and expanding hospice! Sandy and her husband recently relocated from Minneapolis where she founded the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. The Holidays Are Coming...
...And for many who have lost a loved one, they may prove to be a difficult time of year. We are here to help. Join us in honoring or remembering your loved one at our 28th Annual Tree of Light ceremony on Sunday, December 8. This special time of music, candlelight and readings is open to anyone in our community, and donations provide vital funding for our Full Circle bereavement services. More information is available here.
The Blessings of Hospice House
One of the many things that sets Hospice Savannah apart from the dozen or more other hospices in our community is our homelike Hospice House located at 1352 Eisenhower Drive. Watch as manager Amanda gives us a quick tour:

Hospice Savannah's Hospice House
National Hospice & Palliative Care Month
During November - National Hospice and Palliative Care Month - we encourage you to take a tour of Hospice House and/or find out more about our inpatient or home-based hospice care.
Palliative care, offered through our Steward Center for Palliative Care , is for anyone needing help with the symptoms of a serious illness. Dr. Farless will work with your primary physician and other specialists to improve your quality of life. This very misunderstood specialty offers incredible help - long before hospice care needs to be considered!
Relaxation For Caregivers

In addition to being Hospice & Palliative Care Month, November is also National Family Caregivers Month. If you care for a loved one with a serious illness, disability or dementia, you are probably more tired than you know! Our relaxation class will deeply restore you - in fact, studies show that 30 minutes is the equivalent of two hours of deep sleep. Watch this snippet from WTGSFOX28 and please join us for this free Edel Caregiver Institute  offering each Thursday at 9:30 a.m.
