LEADING WOMEN, LEADING GIRLS, BUILDING COMMUNITIES AWARD

Congratulations to Iolanda Masci, one of the original founders of Hospice Vaughan, and still a volunteer today, who was honoured as one of the recipients of the Leading Women, Leading Girls, Building Communities Award. 

 This award, which celebrates women whose volunteer work has improved the lives of others in their community, was presented by local MPP Steven Del Duca.

LENNY'S STORY

" You win a lottery when you have a Hospice near where you live. " Lenny struggled with grief after the loss of his wife and found that the journey was a lonely one. Here he shares his touching, personal story and explains how Hospice Vaughan helped him to move forward.

FAMILY & PET NATURE WALK

Join our FAMILY & PET nature walk on Saturday April 28 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. All ages welcome! Dress for the weather and please have pets on a leash!!

The walk begins at the Hospice Vaughan office. Following the walk, hot beverages and refreshments will be served!

The Alzheimer Society of York Region presents Heads Up! For Healthier Brains . Learn about Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias and how to have a healthy brain. This session will take place on April 12 th 2018 from 7-8:30pm at Hospice Vaughan.

YIN YOGA CLASS - APRIL 10 @7PM

This gentle yoga class supporting health and wellness is for our clients, caregivers and volunteers. Come join us on April 10 @ 7PM and make some time for self-care, wellness and relaxation.

SUPPORT FOR CAREGIVERS

Supporting caregivers is so important! It's often hard to find time to take care of ourselves. We offer a variety of free programs and complementary therapies for caregivers including Yoga and Reiki along with Education Nights.

YOUTH AMBASSADORS SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT HOSPICE

Matthew Caon and Jonathan Tatangelo, Grade 8's at St. Margaret Mary School chose to raise awareness for Hospice Vaughan at their school's Charity Fair.

It's so great to see youth ambassadors getting involved in their community. We salute your efforts to support local causes and to help educate your peers.
