To my Hospice Vaughan Community,
I hope all of you and your loved ones are staying safe and well. As the opening of our new hospice facility is upon us, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our community members for their support. Whether you contributed financially or by volunteering, you have played a vital role in allowing our organization to continually serve the great community of Vaughan.
Our programs and services have continued free of charge throughout COVID-19. We are proud of all our team members and volunteers for helping us as we continue to grow. Yes, virtual calls have become a daily occurrence for many of us and it is hard not seeing our hospice friends face-to face, but we want to keep everyone safe. With protocols still in affect, many of our services will continue to be virtual.
Shortly, Hospice Vaughan will open the new Mario and Nick Cortellucci Hospice Palliative Care Centre of Excellence. This will include Vaughan's first 10 bed palliative care hospice residence, allowing us to provide clinical and supportive care to individuals and families living with life-limiting illness as well as expanding our existing community programs and services.
This is truly an exciting time for Hospice Vaughan, our community and those we serve.
With warmth,
