AIDS 2020: Paul Volberding, MD, and Judith Auerbach, PhD, of UCSF joined representatives from the National AIDS Memorial and the AIDS 2020 Local Planning Group on July 6 to hang panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt from the balcony of San Francisco City Hall. The quilt ceremony, along with a similar one at City Hall in Oakland, kicked off the virtual 23rd International AIDS Conference, which isco-chaired by UCSF’s Monica Gandhi, MD, MPH, and features dozens of UCSF infectious disease experts.
