Hospital Discounted Care Screenings for Insured Patients
Insured patients who request financial assistance should be screened for Hospital Discounted Care, even if the patient does not request Hospital Discounted Care by name. The Hospital Discounted Care statute sets minimum standards for hospital financial assistance programs for all patients who qualify, including patients who have primary insurance. Providers need to ensure that screenings and/or applications are completed for insured patients who are requesting financial assistance.

Updated Operations Manual
An updated version of the Hospital Discounted Care Operations Manual has been uploaded to the Hospital Discounted Care Provider Information webpage. The only change in this version of the manual is an update to HCPF's mailing address with a suite number under the appeals and complaints sections.
