Professional Office Hours and Training
An email was sent to licensed health-care professionals regarding Physician Office Hours and Physician Data Training. Please share the following with the physicians who provide services to patients at your facility to ensure all physicians are aware of these dates.
The Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) is reaching out with an update on the Hospital Discounted Care reporting requirements for licensed health-care professionals (professionals) in Colorado. As a reminder, Senate Bill (SB) 24-116, requires licensed health-care professionals to report data on an annual basis for Hospital Discounted Care. The first reports will be due on September 1, 2025, and include data for the period of January 1, 2025 - June 30, 2025.
In order to aid professionals with this change in law and help answer questions the professionals may have, HCPF is holding office hours twice a month so professionals will have a consistent time to communicate directly with HCPF. Hospital Discounted Care office hours for professionals will be held on: the second (2nd) Thursday of each month from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM and on the fourth (4th) Thursday of each month from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM. The first session will be held on February 13, 2025 at 5:00 PM and you can attend using this link, or by using the link under the “Professional Office Hours” drop down on the Hospital Discounted Care website.
In addition to professional office hours, HCPF will be holding training for professionals on how to compile and report the data required under this law. HCPF highly encourages providers to attend one of the scheduled training sessions so that questions may be asked live to HCPF staff. However, if you are unable to attend any of the scheduled training dates, there will be a recording of the training available in the weeks following the scheduled training. The training is currently scheduled for:
- March 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- March 11, 2025 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- March 13, 2025 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Registration links to join the training sessions will be sent to professionals in the coming weeks.
