Hospital Discounted Care Newsletter

This newsletter provides information and updates on the implementation of House Bill (HB) 21-1198, Health Care Billing Requirements for Indigent Patients, otherwise known as Hospital Discounted Care. Low-income patients who aren't enrolled in Health First Colorado or Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) will have the opportunity to apply for financial assistance or charity care programs at the health care facility where they receive care.

Hospital Discounted Care Updates

Data Reporting - due TODAY, September 2

This is a reminder that data reporting for Hospital Discounted Care is due today. Data is due annually to HCPF by September 1, however with Labor Day falling on September 1 this year, the due date for data reporting has been moved to September 2.

The data templates are available on the Hospital Discounted Care website. If you are reporting data for a Hospital or System please use the Hospital Data Template, and if you are reporting data as an individual professional or group please use the Professional Data Template.

Office Hours

HCPF is holding office hours monthly on the third Wednesday at 9 a.m. No registration is required. The Zoom link and call in information are on the Hospital Discounted Care website.
