Draft Updates to Patient Rights Document
HCPF presented draft updates to the Patient Rights Document at the CICP Advisory Council meeting on Monday, April 28. The Patient Rights document must be updated for July 1 to remove references to the CICP, and HCPF has identified additional updates based on questions and comments received from both providers and patients since the law went into effect in September 2022. The finalized version of the Patient Rights will be used beginning July 1, and HCPF will make the final version available to hospitals in June to allow time for systems to be updated.
The draft Patient Rights has been updated with comments from the April CICP Advisory Council meeting. We invite all Hospital Discounted Care stakeholders to submit input on the draft changes. Please send any comments or suggestions to hcpf_HospDiscountCare@state.co.us with the subject line "Comments on Updated Patient Rights" no later than May 9, 2025.
Office Hours
Office Hours will be moving to once a month sessions on the third Wednesday of each month beginning in July, after suggestions from Office Hours attendees. All Office Hours will change to an open agenda with no set topic. HCPF will be holding formal quarterly training sessions as a replacement for the Office Hour topics, dates to be determined. Please send training topic requests to hcpf_HospDiscountCare@state.co.us.
