Preliminary Select Rosters are Due Now

Baseball Ontario first introduced its arm care program as a pilot project and created a special pitching app to track pitching records. This season, the program is mandatory, and teams cannot play unless their players are registered in the app.

To include your players in the app, you must first submit a roster to your registrar, who will approve it and send it on to OBA. Once submitted, your players will appear in the app.

Please note that you can still make changes to your roster before the usual deadlines. This preliminary roster is only for the purpose of registering your players in the app.

If you are just forming your team now, submit the roster as soon as possible. You will need to have your players registered in the app for league games and tournaments.

If you have any questions, please contact your local registrar. For information on the Baseball Ontario Pitch Count App, visit the OBA website.
"MAKE THE RIGHT CALL" LIVESTREAM JUNE 16TH
Join us for the next session on GAME MANAGEMENT
on June 16th at 7:00 at
These sessions are open to umpires of all levels, coaches, players, parents and anyone else interested in learning more about specific baseball rules!

Each session will highlight news and initiatives related to umpiring, and then feature an in-depth analysis of a specific rule, with video examples and discussion.

In this session, you will learn:
  • the difference between an overthrow and a wild throw
  • that different base awards apply depending on whether the overthrow was from a pitcher, infielder, or outfielder
  • how base awards change depending on whether a ball deflects directly out of play off a fielder, or is subsequently deflected
  • and more about overthrows!

Miss the first session on May 26th? Watch it on-demand here: https://www.connecthq.ca/make-the-right-call
