Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff is responsible for managing all external communications and public relations activities, including, but not limited to communications with the press, utility companies, MEMA, and EEA. The Chief of Staff will advise the Commissioners and the Department of Public Utilities (DPU) staff on matters of legislative importance.

Director of Rural Affairs

The Director of Rural Affairs will be responsible for cultivating and promoting economic development in Massachusetts’ rural communities and businesses. The position will be responsible for driving economic development policy efforts that address the unique needs of rural businesses and communities and will coordinate with other secretariats and state agencies to ensure that state government is attuned to the needs of rural and small towns.

Director of Project Management

The Director of Project Management is responsible for providing direction and oversight for the development of projects in design from project initiation, through the design phase (25%, 75%, 100%, and Plans, Specifications, and Estimate) to advertising for construction bids. Projects are on state highways or on municipal roads, are funded with Federal and State funds, and are designed by consultants.
