Board Member Spotlight
Terri Heard
Terri Heard has served as a Board Member at Healing Hands since 2016. She has been involved in Healing Hands and the Vickery Meadow area of Dallas for close to 20 years. Terri Co-leads the Burmese Womens’ group at our Northwest Community Center where they teach ESL, cooking demonstrations and parenting skills. She and others created the Community Café to welcome patients for a cup of coffee and conversation to make them feel a part of the Healing Hands community.
Terri will be helping with the inauguration of the NEW Friends of Healing Hands to share our story and encourage involvement of others in 2021. We are forever grateful to Terri for her commitment to helping others.

Meet Jason Wallace, Chief Operating Officer
Jason has a wealth of experience in healthcare having worked for both Parkland and Children's Health as an Administrator and Program Director.
He joined Healing Hands 3 years ago as Chief Operating Officer and has recently been named Executive-In-Charge while the search for a new CEO takes place. He believes wholeheartedly that good health is a major part of the solution to ending the cycle of poverty and is committed to helping the underserved.
Jason Wallace attended the University of Virginia, where he played football and received All-ACC honors as a defensive back. After college, he continued his football career, playing professionally in the NFL and the Canadian football league.

Healing Hands Ministries has a licensed dietitian on staff in order to give nutritional education and chronic disease management to our patient population. Our dietitian, Susan Smith, is a regulated healthcare professional, licensed to assess, diagnose, and treat nutritional problems. Food Drive For Eagle Scout Project
Chase Elliott, a senior at Lake Highlands High School, and a member of Scout Troop 890 organized a food drive for his Eagle scout project. Chase collected 2,800 cans of food with pasta and other dry goods for the people who are food insecure at Healing Hands Ministries. There are hundreds of families in need so this food will go a long way to help. Thanks Chase, for your leadership to help our underserved population!
