State Fair Broiler Order

It’s time to order broilers for State Fair again! Please be sure read carefully and get your orders in ASAP as there is a quick turn around this year. For more information and/or to sign up, please use the link provided!

General Information:

30 pullet chicks/exhibitor - $15 (only one set per exhibitor)

Deadline to order - Wednesday, August 9th (Form will close at 11:45 p.m.)

- Please contact Morgan Taylor by texting 501-337-2282 or emailing ([email protected]) to request a possible deadline extension.

Pick up info - Thursday, August 31st @ 3:00 p.m.

Please bring payment in the form of exact change or a check made out to "CES" to the Hot Spring County Extension Office by Wednesday, August 16th.

Livestock Exhibitors - Save the Dates!

If you are planning on showing poultry at the Hot Spring County Fair this year, poultry testing WILL NOT take place at check in for the fair. It will take place at the fair grounds from 5-7 p.m. on August 17th for $1/bird. Providence Veterinary Clinic will also be there at the same time to write health certificates. More details will be announced as it gets closer to time. Make sure to save the date!

Rabbit tattooing will be available at this time too!

4-H Foundation Fundraiser

It's time to start selling 4-H Foundation fundraiser raffle tickets again! Tickets are available to be picked up from the office starting today. Please remember that you must sell at LEAST 10 tickets (or collect auction donations/work the auction) to receive monetary support for summer camps and contests. We have until September 8th to sell tickets. They will draw the winner at the rodeo on the Saturday night of county fair.

Hot Spring County Fair

Dates: September 3-9

Deadlines to Remember:

• July 14 - Animal ownership (you must own the animal you are intending to show by this date)
• July 30 - Registration closes
• August 27 - Late registration closes ($25 fee per entry and building exhibitor numbers with a $15 fee per exhibitor)

Dates: September 26-30

Deadlines to Remember:

• August 1 - September 11 - Registration (regular fees)
• September 12-18 - Late Registration (double fees)
