4-H Fishing Day- Friday, June 8th- 5:30-8:30

Mr. Maurice Hendrix has graciously invited all the Hot Spring County 4-Hers to come enjoy a day of fishing at Hendrix Pond.

We will be going next Friday night, June 8th. 4-Hers should bring their own fishing supplies (poles, bait, hooks, etc) and drinks. We will meet at Mr. Hendrix's pond at 5:30pm and grill hot dogs.

The HSC Fishing Derby was a huge success on May 3rd. We had over 200 students with special needs and over 40 volunteers.

District O-Rama- Tuesday, June 19th- Ouachita High

Once again this year, Hot Spring County will be hosting District O-Rama. This year it will be at Ouachita High School, due to the construction at Malvern this summer.

4-Hers that are participating will need to be at the Ouachita Auditorium between 9:00-9:30am. We will finish up around 2:30pm. Even parents coming to watch need to sign up with the Extension office, so we can make name tags for you.

Lunch will be provided. Hot Spring County Farm Bureau will be grilling hamburgers for lunch.

The theme is Go Wild for 4-H. We will have a county chant that will be shared on our Facebook group soon.
We will also need some help on Monday afternoon going over to the high school and putting up signs, tables, etc. This would also be a great opportunity to do a walk through with volunteers that can help direct traffic the next day. Please just let Rachel know if you can make it.

Text @hsc4-H to 81010 for County Updates

We are going to try something new. It is a program called Remind. It will be a ONE WAY text reminder about upcoming events/deadlines. Any member, parent, volunteer, etc. can sign up to receive the reminders. You can click here to sign up Join Remind  or text HSC4-H to 81010. This will be an excellent way to help everyone stay in the loop!

County 4-H Clover Camp- July 16th- July 20th

We are very excited to be returning to the Arkansas 4-H Center for a portion of County Clover Camp this year. We will be at 4-H Center Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday-Friday will be Day Camps at First Baptist Church Family Life Center (where we have Pancake Breakfast) here in Malvern.

While at the 4-H Center all 4-H members are invited to come with us, we will spend Monday night at the Center. Parents are also invited to help chaperone, as long as you are approved  in 4-H Online as a volunteer and have had Overnight Chaperone Training. If  you have not, get with Rachel ASAP, this process can take some time.

The cost to attend the 4-H Center portion of camp will be $62.50. There is no cost to attend the Day Camps held in Malvern. I encourage everyone to attend as much as camp as possible.
