Giant Pumpkin and Watermelon Contest
Seeds may be requested by County Agents or Program Assistants through County Manager Registration in 4HOnline. Due date to request seeds in Monday, April 2, 2018. Because the price of seeds has dramatically increased in the past few years, distribute seeds only to bona fide 4-H members enrolled in the horticulture project. In order to be successful, these projects need a certain amount of adult direction and supervision. There is a $2.00 charge for pumpkin seeds and a $2.00 charge for watermelon seeds for each participant.
Poultry Chain

March 5 Deadline to Order Poultry Chain (order through the office)

Poultry Chain information: This year we are able to stay with brown egg layers, the Hyline Brown. These are large bodied, docile birds and are fantastic egg producers.  Each project order will receive between to 18-20 birds.  Please remember, this project is for the benefit and education of our youth and is not to provide birds for personal gain/profits. Only youth participants; one set per 4-H member.  If you don't want that many you can split a group of birds.   I will have more information to follow. The Price is $25.  Make sure you pay by the deadline! If you need more information, email me at jbraziel@uaex.edu or call 501-332-5267
March 29 Dairy Foods and Apron Contest-more info to follow. Call Kristal or call for more information.
Dairy Foods Recipe Challenge: Registration is free but entry forms and recipes must be submitted to Kristal by email at kdraper@uaex.edu or delivered/mailed to the County Extension Office by 4:00pm on Friday March 23, 2018.
