DMHDDSUS Director Crosbie To Receive Social Worker of the Year Award at the NASW-NC Ethics Conference

The focus of the National Association of Social Workers-North Carolina Chapter (NASW-NC) 2025 Ethics Conference is "Innovation and Ethics: The Future of Social Work in a Tech-Driven World." The virtual conference will explore the intersection of technology and social work in the modern era.


Don't miss the Recognition and Awards Presentation from 2:10-2:30 p.m. NASW-NC will present DMHDDSUS Director Kelly Crosbie, MSW, LCSW, with the 2025 North Carolina Social Worker of the Year award. With over 30 years of experience, Director Crosbie has been a steadfast advocate for individuals with mental health and substance use needs.

The new NC Medicaid Ambassador Initiative is a community-focused program designed to educate and empower trusted voices in local communities to share information about Medicaid. Ambassadors help bridge gaps in knowledge to ensure individuals and families can access the resources and care they need. State Consumer and Family Advisory Committee Meeting

The State Consumer and Family Advisory Committee (SCFAC) advises NCDHHS and the General Assembly on the planning and management of the Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Services. The meeting is open to the public.

Brain Injury Advisory Council Meeting

The purpose of the Brain Injury Advisory Council (BIAC) is to review the nature and cause of traumatic and other acquired brain injuries in North Carolina. The Council also makes recommendations to the Governor, the General Assembly, and the Secretary of Health and Human Services regarding the planning, development, funding, and implementation of a comprehensive statewide service delivery system to address the needs of brain injury survivors. There are virtual and in-person attendance options. The public is invited to attend.
