Come learn the Jenkins' Shuffle on Monday!
As many of you know, we are honoring Pastor Jenkins for his 25 years as our Pastor this Tuesday at 7 p.m. As part of our Family Life Department presentation, we would like to celebrate him in dance.
We developed a dance in honor of Pastor called the Jenkins' shuffle. It incorporates current line dances like the electric slide, the wobble and a few others. We also added a dance move that Pastor sometimes does during service .
We're calling all singles to participate in the dance on Tuesday, Nov. 11. During our presentation all you have to do is get in the aisle closest to you and begin dancing when the music begins. It will be fun.

We have scheduled a dance rehearsal for this Monday, Nov. 10 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in room 1305 at the Worship Center. Please plan to attend! Singles let's represent!

Pastor Jenkins 25th Anniversary Celebration - Tues. Nov 11, 2014 7:00 p.m. Worship Center 600 Watkins Park Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774. We invite you to attend a celebration honoring Pastor Jenkins' 25 years as the senior pastor of FBCG. Let's come together to love and honor the man who has poured his heart and soul into the ministry. Many surprises are in store as we celebrate the visionary and shepherd of this house! Singles make up the largest demographic at FBCG so let's be sure to represent!
Outreach Activity - Operation Christmas Child
Looking for a way to bless those less fortunate this holiday season? Well look no further! Here's your chance to bless children all over the world...through Operation Christmas Child (OCC) ! OCC is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse that delivers shoe boxes filled with small gifts to children around the world and shares the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.
What do you need to do? It's simple, get a shoe box and fill it with small children's gifts. Then bring your box along with $7.00 (for shipping) to the Worship Center on Nov 9th or 16th and drop off after the morning services or the Ministry Center on Nov 15th (2-6pm) and 18th (6-8pm). Last year we filled 800...this year our goal is to collect and fill over 1000 boxes! With your help we can do it!
Samson's Dilemma Weekly Discussion Group (FOR MEN ONLY) - Wednesdays, 7 pm ( FBCG Worship Center Room 2101, 600 Watkins Park Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774) - Men are invited to join a weekly small group study and discussion group called Samson's Dilemma to assist with learning to put proper boundaries in place to be free from sexual temptation. Samson's Dilemma teaches men how to be victorious against Satan. The class is confidential. Shared information will remain within the group. Is Anything Too Hard for Me?
"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me? Jeremiah 32:27
This question came as a response to Jeremiah's prayer for understanding. Like Jeremiah, we yearn for an explanation of the things that go on around us especially when they do not line up with what God has said or promised. God began His discourse with, "Behold". Behold means to see, observe, or witness. He directs Jeremiah's attention away from the confusion and makes Himself the focal point. Behold. Ponder the significance of the word. God says, See Me! Observe Me! Witness Me!
Then He gives two reasons why Jeremiah should stop and marvel. First, He is the Lord. He is above all things natural and supernatural. He sits enthroned on high and stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth, Psalm 113 says. Second, He is the God of all flesh. He is the maker of all things natural and supernatural. The world may spin out of control but the Lord's throne is firmly established. He declares in Isaiah 46:10 that from the beginning He revealed the end. What on earth, or beyond, could possibly hinder the Lord, the God of all flesh? God's question to Jeremiah reveals man's unbelief. But we are His people. Behold Him.
