It is Bear season and they are plentiful this year so please secure your trash and keep your property free of things that will attract them. There are limited solutions the police have to bear problems so please give them some distance and hopefully they well be on their way without incident.

Canoes wanted
Lafayette Recreation Kids had so much fun this summer canoeing on Coffin Pond Thanks to Copper Cannon Camp for letting us use their canoes and Profile School for the use of their trailer.
We are looking to acquire our own fleet. If you have one you are willing to donate, sell real cheap or let us borrow for the summer, please let us know
The Franconia Water Department will be working on the Mittersill Road, upgrading the water lines starting Monday, August 24, 2020. This improvement project may cause intermittent interruption to your water service over the length of the project which is estimated to run from Monday, August 24th - Friday, September 11th.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we move forward with this important project ahead of the Town’s paving of this stretch of Mittersill Road. It may be advisable to have water stored for use should your service be interrupted.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Franconia Water Department office at 603-823-7752 or via email at [email protected].
Check www.franconianh.org for daily updates on anticipated water shut off locations.
Sincerely,
