Contribute to the Huey Heritage Center

"If an alumnus visited campus today, they would see..."

"...they don’t actually have to visit campus to see the construction activity of the Hoyt Science Center - they can visit us here to see the ongoing progress!

Alumni would also see some exciting improvements in the Field House including the Titan Football Locker Room expansion project, the Ron Galbreath Court, the Chet and Hilda Claire Student-Athlete Lounge and the in-process Huey Heritage Center. There have been a lot of great projects on campus recently with more to come as we prepare for construction next summer on the UPMC Sports Complex that will include our soccer and lacrosse fields. Additional construction that will occur in the Titan Corridor includes new softball and baseball fields.

Gratitude for Alumni Like Rex Parker '49

Last month, Rex Parker '49 hit the 7,000 mile mark! Over his lifetime, he has traveled a total of 7,000 miles from his home to campus and back to celebrate each consecutive reunion from his 20th to his 70th (11 in total). In reflecting on his time on campus and in his life, he sent our office a few snippets of wisdom that we couldn't possibly keep to ourselves:

"It is important to make an extra special effort and do so on a continuing and repeated basis. This I have done over the past 50 years. Like many actions, I [remained connected] because I wanted to or I wouldn’t have done so.

During my lifetime I have on occasion been recognized for action that was thought worthy of “praise" - but [I'm just] doing what the good Lord expects of us all - helping our fellow mankind as much as we can and expecting nothing in return."

We are overwhelmingly thankful for the Westminster College experience that provides Titans of the past and present with a deep rooted love, affiliation, and care for the future.

Buy Tickets to See Simon & Garfunkel - Nov. 23

In 1981, more than 500,000 music fans gathered in Central Park to witness the now legendary reunion of folk duo Simon & Garfunkel. Award-winning recording artists, Lee Lessack and Johnny Rodgers recreate that magical night. With dulcet vocals harmonizing over lilting guitar, you’ll hear all the beloved poetic masterpieces that made Simon & Garfunkel famous: “Mrs. Robinson,” “Homeward Bound,” “Scarborough Fair,” “Bridge Over Troubled Waters,” “The Sound of Silence,” and many more.
Many alumni have expressed their love and adoration for beloved professor, Dr. Joseph Hopkins. As such, we wanted to share his full obituary here for those searching for more information about his life. Read more here.

It was produced by students Ian Ross, Shaemour Young, Jack Karson, Ricky Stickel & Steven Knight. It stars Hamish Mathwin, Hannah Roddy, Ian Ross & JD Eicher. A special visit from video coach and mentor, Troy Jackson '18.
