As Truist Securities wrote, “Overall, U.S. RevPAR was +7.2% y/y for the week ending 8/8/2026, per STR/CoStar, consistent with the prior week's result of +7.3% y/y and the 10-week average of +7.5% y/y. Last week's results showed strength across all chain scales, even in Midscale and
Economy, which were up 4.4% and 4.5% y/y in RevPAR, respectively. Early week RevPAR growth accelerated as the week progressed, peaking on Thursday (+8.3% y/y) and remaining strong through the weekend (Fri/Sat up 7.9%/7.5% y/y, respectively). Group and Transient RevPAR were strong as well, both up 9.4% y/y, which when paired with strength across weekdays indicates to us healthy trends for both Business and
Leisure travel."
