At AAHOACON26, University of South Carolina School of Hospitality and Tourism Management students Regan Lightfoot and Sophia Scimemi competed in the Collegiate Championship: Hotel Turnaround Competition, powered by Russell Partnership Technology, taking home the People's Choice Award. Lightfoot and Scimemi advanced to the final round based on their simulated hotel's financial performance and operational results. Presenting opposite teams from Virginia Tech and Grand Valley State Univeristy, the USC team received the most votes by conference attendees to claim the prize.
