A Lifelong Dream Comes Full Circle
For many soccer fans, attending a FIFA World Cup match is a dream. For AAHOA Lifetime Member Raman (RP) Rama, serving as a volunteer at the FIFA World Cup in Miami represents something even more meaningful – the fulfillment of a lifelong passion. Long before his career as a hotel owner, entrepreneur, and industry leader, Rama was a goalkeeper, playing for his university, the State Bank of India team, and the District of Baroda (now Vadodara). Like many young players, he dreamed of reaching the World Cup. And now, he has – as a volunteer Host City Ambassador in Miami.

We're inviting members to authorize the release of their current insurance information to help guide the development of this new program. All participation data is collected by a third-party law firm, is confidential and privileged, and is not accessible to AAHOA internally. Learn more here.

| Meet Sadie AI, the AAHOACON26 Tech Pitch Competition Winner | All hotels miss calls – anywhere from 10 to 40 percent of calls go unanswered. And 30 percent of those are travelers looking to book. Missed calls don't just contribute to poor guest experience; they're a missed opportunity for revenue. That's where Sadie AI, winner of the AAHOACON26 Tech Pitch Competition, Co-Powered by HFTP, comes in. An agentic AI voice assistant, Sadie is an extension of your front desk. In the June issue of Today's Hotelier magazine, we sat down with Sadie AI CEO Sami Hilal to discuss what Sadie does, how she works, and why she's invaluable in a world of lean teams and tight margins. | | | | |

U.S. RevPAR +5.3% y/y Last Week; A Strong Clean-Comp +5.3% Week to Start June and World Cup Hasn’t Even Begun!
As Truist Securities wrote, "Overall, U.S. RevPAR was +5.3% y/y for the week ending 6/6/2026, per STR/CoStar, slightly below the prior week's result of +6.5% y/y but above the 10-week average of +4.5% y/y. Last week was a strong clean-comp week demonstrating demand for travel ahead of the summer's special events like the World Cup and America's 250th. Similar to the prior week, mid-week demand was strongest with Monday through Thursday RevPAR ranging from ~+6-8.5% and outperforming the headline result. We see this as likely indicating strong business transient trends. The Transient and Group segments both showed robust growth in the high-single digits y/y. Upscale RevPAR: +3.9% y/y; Upper Midscale RevPAR: +3.9% y/y."
