WORLD CUP WATCH PARTIES at Elixir Brew Co. start THIS Thursday (3pm)
Good News Church is partnering with Elixir Brew Co. to host 23 World Cup Watch Parties starting THIS Thursday, June 11 and going all the way to the Finals on Sunday, July 19. This is a great opportunity for Good News Church to get to know people in our community (many of whom may need a church home) while serving a big need for our friends at Elixir. Come join the fun! SUMMER HAPPENINGS
NEW! COMPASSION FUND REPLENISHMENT
Good News Church has s designated fund for assisting those in need (inside and outside our church) of food, shelter, clothing, healthcare, and transportation. We're try to keep a minimum of $1,000 in that fund but we've met numbers if crisis needs recently and the Compassion Fund is depleted. If you'd like to give, you can give online here (in the drop down options, select "Outreach / Compassion." If you give by check, write "Compassion" in the note section. For details, click here.
GOLF FORE FUN SCRAMBLE - Friday, June 26 (12pm) at Sugar Hill Golf Club
We're scheduling a handful of tee times at Sugar Hill Golf Club on Friday, June 26 (12:30pm) to provide an opportunity for guys to get together, make some new friends, and have fun. This is not a fundraiser. It's a "fun"raiser. :) We'll play a scramble (best ball) format, so anyone can play. Cost is $50 per person. Feel free to invite friends. GOOD NEWS AT NOON HOMELESS MINISTRY - Saturday, June 20 (11am)
Bring the kids on Saturday, June 20 and join us at Good News at Noon, a local homeless ministry in the Gainesville area, where we serve monthly by helping to serve lunch on the 3rd Saturday each month from 11am - 1pm. For more information or to sign up, click here
NEW! FATHER'S DAY COOKOUT - Sunday, June 21 (12:30pm) at JJ's house
No need to make lunch plans for Father's Day! Jason Jones and his wife, Kerry, have invited everyone to his house, immediately after church, for a fun, relaxing lunch. WOMEN'S SUMMER STUDY "BAD GIRLS OF THE BIBLE"
Join us for our Summer Women’s Study! We're having a great time using the "Bad Girls of the Bible" short videos (based on the book by Liz Curtis Higgs). Remaining dates are June 17, July 1, 15, and 29. Our next meeting is on June 17 at the home of Leslie Greer. We will have appetizers/finger foods, casual interaction, and discussion. NEW! AMERICA 250TH CONCERT - Wed., July 1 (8pm) @ The Bowl in Sugar Hill
This free concert (8pm - 9pm) is at "The Bowl," Sugar Hill's beautiful outdoor amphitheater. It includes performances by Sugar Hill's own Broad St. Concert Band (they're outstanding), the Gwinnett Community Band, Sugar Hill Choir, and a Drone Show at dusk. You won't want to miss this!
