SoFIA Offers New Access to Affordable Housing
According to a recent Harvard study, South Florida is the least affordable place for renters in the country. Those who own a home spend more than 30% of their income on housing. Back To School For SoFIA's Foster Grandparents
SoFIA's Foster Grandparents have been making a difference in Broward County Public Schools for 54 years being role models, mentors and friends. Nearly all 150 of SoFIA's Foster Grandparents participated in Broward Reads for the Record as children who read more are more likely to graduate from high school.
SoFIA's Foster Grandparents know how to nurture and help things grow so it is no surprise that, thanks to our partnership with Holy Cross Hospital, many toured the Dania Beach Patch to learn more about the garden and its nutritious produce before completing a service project by pruning plants.
