Solar Power Update

Thanks to APS, our JoJo’s Place and Sharon Manor transitional housing programs now have solar-covered parking structures! Construction has also begun at our new Oak Wash Homes permanently affordable housing program in Cottonwood. These upgrades will help us lower our energy footprint and reduce monthly utility expenses.

Housing Counselor of the Year

Please join us in congratulating our incredible Housing Programs Manager, Angela, who was honored as Housing Counselor of the Year by the Arizona Housing Coalition! Over the past 12 years, Angela has helped 150 households become homeowners, creating stability and long-term roots for families in our community.

Local Clothing Donation Success

Local Cabi Stylists hosted a clothing drive benefiting Sharon’s Attic, our nonprofit thrift store. At the event, our Store Manager Cheryl shared how donations support survivors through our Sharon Manor program. We're so grateful to be part of a community that steps up to empower local survivors of domestic violence.

Oak Wash Homes Update

We’re excited to share that as of June 1st, 20 households experiencing homelessness have moved into our new permanent affordable housing community in Cottonwood - Oak Wash Homes!

First Time Homebuyers

4 local households recently became first time homeowners (3 in April and 1 in May) thanks to down payment assistance administered by our pre-purchase program! We're excited to help strengthen family stability and deepen roots in our community.

Affordable Rentals

Last month, 45 households remained stably housed through our affordable rental programs. This includes 25 low-income households in Flagstaff homes and condos, as well as 20 formerly homeless households now settled into permanent housing at Oak Wash Homes in Cottonwood.

JoJo's Place Transitional Housing

Last month, 3 residents successfully transitioned from JoJo’s Place into permanent housing! We're thrilled to celebrate this milestone. Access to a safe, affordable studio—paired with supportive, on-site case management—helped create the stability needed to take this important next step.

Sharon Manor Transitional Housing

Last month, 3 households transitioned from homelessness into safe, supportive housing at Sharon Manor. These resilient survivors of domestic violence now have access to trauma-informed case management, group support, and children’s programming to help them rebuild. We also celebrated 1 household moving into safe, permanent housing!

Vouchers for Essentials

4 households from our Sharon Manor transitional housing program used a Sharon's Attic clothing and home goods voucher, allowing them to shop for essential items and furniture at our thrift store. Thank you for donating your gently used items - it makes a diference!

Community Loan Center of Arizona

62 individuals received affordable small-dollar loans through our Community Loan Center, promoting stability and helping them avoid predatory lenders.

A heartfelt thank you to Stuck Community Acupuncture for bringing their Mobile AcuDetox Program to our JoJo’s Place and Sharon Manor transitional housing programs! Residents were deeply impacted by the experience—many shared feeling calmer, more grounded, and genuinely cared for.
