In addition, AHF selected HELP Perry Point Veterans Village project as the Special Needs Housing Project of the Year. R&C and co-counsel Stuart Poppel represented HELP Development Corp. in the development of 75 units at Perry Point in Maryland that will house homeless veterans and/or veteran families. The development, Perry Point, is located on a site owned by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, which entered into an enhanced use lease to facilitate the project. The redevelopment is financed with LIHTC equity, tax exempt bonds, DHCD financing and a sponsor loan. HELP Veterans Village created 75 units of affordable housing and the project benefits from PBVs provided under the HUD-VASH program serving homeless veterans and/or their families.
