Good Morning -

We hope this message finds you well and enjoying today’s Wellbeing Day. We are happy to share that the Housing Application for the 2021-2022 Academic Year is now available.

Unless graduating in May 2021, ALL students need to complete a housing application regardless of their intentions to live on- or off-campus. As a reminder, students may not select to live off-campus unless they have fulfilled the residency requirement or been released from it in writing by our office.

To begin your application you’ll need to log into our Housing Portal at go.wfu.edu/housingportal. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll arrive at the home page. From here, you’ll select the 2021-2022 Academic Year Application and begin. Please be sure you select the 2021-22 Housing Application not the Summer 2021 Housing Application.
Moving through the steps within the application, you’ll update your information in steps; see the video below for an overview of those steps.
Frequently Asked Questions

  • If I’m living off-campus, do I have to do a housing application? Yes, all students need to submit a housing application. Off-campus students go through the address registration process instead of housing selection. For more details on off-campus housing, including address registration, please visit our website.
  • How do I apply for Gender Neutral or Substance Free Housing? As a part of the application, you will be asked about your interest in either of these specialty housing options. For more details on Gender Neutral Housing or Substance Free Housing please visit our website.
  • What is the process for accommodations? Our process for disability-related accommodations begins with a request from the student and supporting documentation by a medical provider. Those requests and documentation are due by May 31. Our review committee will then complete their work and communicate decisions to students. Students with an approved disability-related accommodation will be contacted in early June to schedule an appointment with our Operations team to finalize their housing between June 7 and 10.
  • What if I’m living on a block or Residential Engagement Community? Students living in blocks or a REC still need to complete their housing application. Once your group submits its roster, we will be in touch with you about additional details on finalizing your housing for the 2021-22 Academic Year. You will finalize your housing between June 10 and 11.
We recognize this is a lot of information. Our team will be hosting information sessions and sharing additional informational videos in the coming weeks. In the meantime, feel free to visit go.wfu.edu/housingselection for more information.
Keep an eye out starting next week for communications about "Connect @ Home" - a series of tools and events catered to helping you with your roommate search.
Finally, if it would be helpful for you to discuss the process and your planning, feel free to schedule time with our Coordinator of Assignments, Kristy Eanes, by visiting eanes.youcanbook.me.

As always, please don’t hesitate to contact us at housing@wfu.edu or 336-758-5185.
