Volunteer of the Month

We are absolutely thrilled to announce our very first Volunteer of the Month at Sharon's Attic: Karen Kent! Karen has been a dedicated volunteer for over 8 years, and we are immensely grateful for her unwavering support and the incredible impact she has made on our community. When asked why she volunteers, Karen shared that she loves thrifting, organizing, and giving back to the community. Karen also has a deep personal connection to our mission at Sharon's Attic – “empowering survivors of domestic violence one sale at a time” through supporting our Sharon Manor transitional housing program. Her mother was a survivor, and Karen wishes a resource like this had been available to her.

Building Community at JoJo's Place

Our JoJo's Place transitional housing program had their first-ever community event! Staff and residents enjoyed delicious hotdogs and Mexican food, and were thrilled to welcome FPD Chief of Police Sean Connolly and Deputy Chief of Operations Collin Seay. We're sure this will be the first of many BBQs to come!

Fourth of July Parade

We had a fantastic time walking in Flagstaff's Fourth of July parade alongside the AZ Daily Sun float as one of the 2023 Co-Organizations of the Year! We're honored to have received this award for the impact we've made in northern Arizona.

Back to School at Sharon Manor

Sharon Manor had a fantastic Back-to-School Backpack Party for the kids, thanks to the incredible generosity of NPHX Church! They donated and filled 31 backpacks with all the essential school supplies. It was truly a community effort, with the entire church coming together to make sure the kids are ready to start the school year prepared and excited. Thank you, NPHX Church, for your kindness and support!

Linens for JoJo's Place

As we continue to welcome new residents into JoJo's Place, we continue to need new, queen sized bed comforters and pillows. Having experienced homelessness, most of our residents are moving in without the basic essentials of home. Please drop your donations at Housing Solutions’ office Mon-Thur 9am-3pm, located at 1500 E Cedar Ave Ste 86, Flagstaff, AZ 86004. Thank you for your generosity!
