Inspiring the Next Generation

We had the pleasure of welcoming a dynamic group of college students to our office as part of the Spring 2025 Housing Partnership Network's Next Gen Talent Academy, in partnership with Project Destined. This initiative connects students from across the country with immersive, real-world experiences in the affordable housing sector.

Students engaged in a hands-on simulation game that challenged them to navigate the tough tradeoffs developers face when building affordable homes—balancing community needs, financing constraints, and policy realities. They also heard directly from our team about how Housing Trust helps bring affordable housing to life and toured Villas on the Park, PATH and Affirmed Housing's supportive housing community in downtown San Jose where students were able to learn first-hand how housing transforms lives (we provided predevelopment financing – more info here).
