Programs Designed to Reclaim Homes RENT LOCAL & GOOD DEEDS

Building enough homes to meet locals' needs through developments like MeadowView and RiverView will take years. To create immediate inventory, BSCHT designed RENT LOCAL and GOOD DEEDS to reclaim some of the 1,000 vacation rentals in Big Sky into homes for residents.

RENT LOCAL A stop-gap program that provides cash to property owners who flip their vacation rentals into long-term rentals for locals. The maximum time homeowners can join the program is four years. GOOD DEEDS A long-term program that purchases permanent deed restrictions on existing homes. The restriction requires at least one resident working full-time in Big Sky to live in the home for the life of the property.
