Covering Coronado since 2002

{View as Webpage}

Good afternoon ,

Thanks to Juliane Morris for today's photo.

It's shaping up to be a fun weekend in Coronado, with a classic swing concert tomorrow, the Friends of the Library family picnic and scavenger hunt on Saturday, and Sunday's Concert in the Park featuring Perfect Blend in its quartet format. The Coronado Playhouse also unveils its latest production, Arsenic and Old Lace, and we have a long list of upcoming events to help you fill your calendar.

In the news, we take a deep dive into HCD, ADUs, and FAR (you'll have to read the article to decode the acronyms). The city has named its Lifeguard of the Year and shares the inspiring story of Manny Huezo's path to becoming a lifeguard. And don't miss the Throwback Thursday video courtesy of CBS 8 — it's a fascinating glimpse back in time to Coronado High School in 1969.

We'll see you around town. Have a great weekend!
