Our children and families need us now, more than ever, at this critical time.
How ACCF is Coping with the Crisis
Through the support of local donors, Delray Beach restaurants Caesar's Famous Ribs, 3rd and 3rd, and community agencies, ACCF has been able to provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner to our families most affected by the crisis.

To date we have served 1,100 dinners, 900 lunches & 1,500 breakfasts AND we were able to include 2 rolls of toilet paper per each household in our April 10th distribution!

Last week's dinners were provided by Delray’s 3rd and 3rd and its Chef, Emerson Frisbee. The “jump start breakfast meal kits” are being provided by a private donor with lunches provided by FLIPANY . The food is being distributed via drive-through pick-ups to the families who participate in Achievement Centers’ Family Strengthening Program at all sites. The meal distribution fills in the gap and greatly helps feed parents as well as families with kids over 18 who are not served by the school district meal program.

We are trying to alleviate any additional stresses that our families may feel now that they are starting to experience work hours being cut and jobs being lost.

“The demand for our services is greater than ever and we have launched new initiatives to keep up with these needs, while pulling together as a community,” said Stephanie Seibel, Chief Executive Officer for ACCF. “Our partners and supporters have been instrumental in our efforts to serve meals for over 200 families each week, all while supporting local restaurants and their employees.”
Additional Services We Are Able to Provide
Kilwins Chocolate of Delray Beach donated over 250 chocolate bunnies for our kids! Owner Allison Whitworth shared “We are happy to be able to donate! In very trying times, we need to do whatever we can to bring a little sunshine to whomever we can!”
With a high percentage of Achievement Centers families speaking Creole
at home, the organization has worked to translate essential information, as well as offer guidance on finances during this time.
Grocery bags donated through community support with food and essentials are being provided to families who currently participate in ACCF’s programs and are critically in need.
Teen Talks & Homework Help
Our Teens are actively participating in Teen Talks & Homework Help sessions via Zoom. It gives them an opportunity to still connect with their Peers while also practicing Social Distancing.
Virtual Homework Help
We have launched our Virtual Homework Help for our Afterschool Students to help them with their school work. Our wonderful volunteer Ms. Linda is taking appointments and working with the students individually on the subject that they are needing the most help with.
ACCF has launched Virtual Story Time!
ACCF has launched Virtual Story Time!
Achievement Centers for Children & Families is now connecting through Virtual Story Time! Our teachers and volunteers record themselves reading some of our curriculum-based books so we can share them for our new initiative, "Virtual Story Time"!

Each week we will feature different staff and volunteers via Virtual Story Time videos. We hope to learn together and bring joy to our children, staff & volunteers, knowing that we can be “together” during this time.

Achievement Centers for Children & Families has a long standing history of serving Palm Beach County’s children and families since 1969.

Our goal, as a nonprofit organization, is to provide affordable quality care to children whose parents strive to provide the best for their family while maintaining a full schedule. Our programs are designed to meet a child’s academic, social, emotional and physical needs. We offer toddler, preschool, out of school, teen, adult and family programs.
