Happy New Year! I hope 2022 will be a very blessed year for you!
I believe we all have a role in the pro-life movement. We can each do something to help save lives! As you make your New Year's resolution, consider adding a pro-life resolution. Here are some ideas:

As we approach January 22nd, the 49th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade that legalized abortion, it is a great time to take action for life!

Join Us As We March 'Together for Life'! |
|
|
|
In just three weeks Louisiana citizens will begin marching "Together for Life" as we advance closer to an abortion-free Louisiana and a more pro-life America. There are five Louisiana Life Marches planned throughout the state, and there are other local march for life events! As the Supreme Court reconsiders Roe v. Wade, we must march united in defense of every unborn baby with a strong commitment to support moms, now and in a post-Roe Louisiana. Will you join us as we march "Together for Life?"

At the end of 2021, Kathy Allen, Ph.D., our Director for Black Advocates for Life, departed our staff to pursue other opportunities. We are thankful for Dr. Allen’s service to babies, mothers, and the entire pro-life cause! Her efforts have raised awareness of the high-rate of abortion in the black community. At the same time, we welcomed Leslie Ellison, a former Orleans Parish School Board member, to the Black Advocates team as an advisor and to the LA Right to Life Board of Directors.

Tickets are available for the Proudly Pro-Life Gala! The annual event will be held Jan. 15 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. State Sen. Katrina Jackson will receive the Proudly Pro-Life Award during the event. Keynote speakers will be Alex and Stephen Kendrick, award-winning filmmakers of movies such as Overcomer and Fireproof. |

The Texas Heartbeat Bill remains in effect, and we are teaming with donors and volunteers to place these billboards (and others) on important stretches of interstate as women from Texas travel to Louisiana seeking abortion. Will you help us keep the boards up in the Shreveport area and near Lake Charles, Lafayette, and Baton Rouge? |

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is Jan. 23. Louisiana Right to Life has a limited number of free bulletin inserts remaining to give to churches to hand out on that day. We also have other resources to help your church and pastor utilize this day to raise awareness about the sacred gift of human life.

When you buy a Choose Life license plate, not only are you donating to pro-life pregnancy centers and adoption agencies in the state that are helping women to choose life, but you are spreading the message of life out on the road! The plate costs $50 every two years over and above your normal license fee. |

Louisiana Lawyers for Life joins Louisiana attorneys and law school students together to support the legal protection of human life, born and unborn, from abortion, euthanasia, and infanticide through legal, legislative, and educational means. Our membership drive is now under way! |
