How Allied Irish Bank is using CardEasy to de-scope its contact centre from PCI DSS compliance
 
In recent years AIB has been dealing with an increased amount of payments that were taken by card over the phone and has expanded its call centre based staff. 
 
AIB needed a secure and user friendly solution for the taking of card payments over the phone that put customer security, PCI DSS Compliance and removal of risk at the forefront of its operations.

UK regulation of outbound telemarketing scores another own goal

The law regarding outbound direct marketing calls has recently changed. Currently one in five outbound direct marketing calls is from an anonymous or withheld number, something that became illegal from 16 May 2016.  

UK registered companies that  flout the revised regulations could be subject to penalties of up to £2.5 million per campaign - £2m to Ofcom, and £0.5m to the ICO (Information Commissioners Office).
