In the Spring, we sent an email with a similar subject line to VBA attorneys. COVID was still “new” and its impacts somewhat uncertain. There was anxiety about whether, how, and when our lives might return to normal. We sent another email in the Summer, checking in on how everyone was doing at that point in the COVID journey. Now, facing another spike in COVID cases and increased restrictions on travel, gathering and business operations on the eve of the holiday season, we are reaching out again.
We hope everyone will take care of themselves and their families by following the advice from Montpelier, and common sense. If you need help, or you know others who may, by all means please feel free to reach out to us, or here are links to a number of resources, including the
VT Lawyers Assistance Program,
Mike Kennedy's Blog that includes a ton of helpful “resources for coping with COVID-19 related stress and anxiety”, the COVID-19 Committee
Resource Page, and the Commission on the Well-Being of the Legal Profession (CWBLP) )
Wellness Resources Page.
Stay healthy! Read, write, sing, dance, paint, exercise, gather virtually, laugh, curse. Do what you need to get balance in your life. And don’t forget those who may face tougher challenges.
We are all in this together, and we will get through it.
