This Sunday's Sermon and Song List
This week we conclude a three-part series designed to speak to our problems in a biblical way. This week we look at our PRIORITIES. Using the biblical model we will inspect our priorities by looking at three common priority setters: urgency, agency and emergency. Then we'll turn to Jesus' alternative to each of these so that our hearts would be set on him in trust and worship.

To get yourself ready to sing on Sunday you can start listening to the songs we'll be singing together:
  • I Saw The Light
  • Broken Vessels (Amazing Grace)
  • Holy Holy Holy
  • Christ Be Magnified
We created a playlist on Youtube in case you want to start listening today. You can find that by clicking HERE.
How Do I Honor Parents That I Disagree With This Thanksgiving?
We all know the holidays can be fraught with all kinds of relational conflict. By God's grace this is not the case for everyone. It could be worse. But still, we live in a fallen world where even faithful, bible believing Christians dread the holidays because of the drama they know they're likely headed into. This may be even more likely this year with tension heightened all over the country. This, for example, is where I'm getting the title of this little exhortation. I know of several families where the parents have told their grown children not to return home for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year because they have not been vaccinated. Now, of course, it's tempting to weigh in on that issue and perhaps I will in the future. For now, what seems more important is the question above. How do I honor my parents if I disagree with them? And you could apply this more broadly if this particular example doesn't fit your experience. How do I love anyone I disagree with? How do I keep a disagreement from becoming a quarrel or a wedge? Let me offer these biblical principles as a guide to fuel your own biblical pursuit of holiness in this area: CLICK HERE to read them.
NOTICE: EVENT RESCHEDULED for
DECEMBER 12th
Interested in Fostering or Adoption?
"South Dakota KIDS BELONG" is Coming to Discovery Church

SD Kids Belong is hosting a "Next Steps Event" at Discovery Church for anyone in or community interested in what they can do to help kids find loving homes. Even if you don't feel called to foster or adopt, you CAN still learn about some amazing ways to support those who do.

We empower leaders in government, faith based, business, and creative sectors to end the crisis for kids in foster care in South Dakota. Our state has around 1,500 children who are in the foster care system through no fault of their own. Of these children, on any given day nearly 70 are legally-free for adoption and are waiting for their forever family. The rest of the children need a loving, safe, and supportive foster family to care for them while they wait to go home to their biological families.

When children age-out of the system at 18 without a family, they are significantly more likely to experience homelessness, crisis pregnancy, unemployment, incarceration, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Trafficking.

Please be sure to keep the ornament and turn it in with the gift. Women of Discovery are invited to help wrap the gifts at 6:00pm on Thursday, December 16th and then go to Pathway's to sing Christmas carols. If you have any questions please call the church office

USD Students Visit Revival!
College Students from USD joined our activities this Wednesday Night. They led worship and then the older kids (7th-12th grade) split by gender and listened to the college students share their testimonies, share about lessons they have learned since high school and what they wish they would have known sooner. They also talked about how to keep your faith in college. The night was awesome and the high school and college students continued to hang out long after the night was officially over.
