Greetings!

The New Year is a natural time for reflection—looking back at what we’ve learned and asking what we want to do differently going forward. We’re sharing recent Knowledge Communities successes—and a valuable reflection tool.

Warmly,

Naava Frank, Ken Goeddeke, and the Knowledge Communities Team

Client Testimonial

“Network Members increasingly take ownership of their connections, initiating collaborations and drawing on one another’s expertise independently. Staff began sharing facilitation strategies, learning from one another’s experiences, and continuing to strengthen their own skills. This represented a significant cultural shift.”

―Michelle Matthews, Chief Strategy and Operations Officer, Purpose Built Communities®

Why it matters: When a solution developed in one place can travel to another, the sponsoring organization can spot emerging challenges and innovations, surface promising practices, and spread what works—helping stay current, responsive, and able to lead its field.

What Changed?

After implementing changes through Knowledge Communities coaching, one client used the AAR tool above to reflect on the results. They saw:

  • Increased engagement: More people participated, with most cameras on and a wider range of voices in the conversation and chat.
  • More shared problem-solving: Participants brought their own materials, shared challenges, and gave one another feedback.
  • New ideas and practices: Participants shared approaches and materials that staff hadn’t seen before.

Small changes in how a network is facilitated can lead to meaningful results. An AAR helps you see what’s working, what’s changing, and what to do next.
