How Does Real Connection and Engagement Work at a Virtual Conference or Event?
Over the past few months, we have been asked the question "How does real connection and engagement work at a virtual event?"
We have come to realise that there are certainly some immersive experiences to be had when connecting with colleagues through a virtual event platform, and in the past 5 months alone there have been many communication tech companies making it their mission to deliver some pretty fantastic virtual communication solutions that keep people connected through Hybrid and 100% virtual offerings.
For years, the idea of utilising a virtual event platform hadn't gained too much traction within the business events sector itself, knowing that the overwhelming value of PD activities was shared delegate experiences and networking... and this is still certainly true!
However, in such uncertain times, it is clear our association and corporate clients want assurances that they can continue to deliver ongoing PD and engagement opportunities for their staff and members over the coming months, regardless of what may transpire in the world around us.
The GEMS team have reviewed many virtual event platforms to see which of them might come close to replicating the in-person experience. As Event Managers (and with most of us being extroverts), we are all too aware that people need personal connection to innovate, motivate and thrive. We believe that OnAIR delivers the best features to accommodate this need and it is our job to work creatively with each client to bring their events to life, making all attendees feel they belong.
When we dive deeper into the capabilities of OnAIR, we understand that we can facilitate connection through multiple mediums within the platform, which integrate with services such as
Microsoft,
Twilio,
Zoom,
GoToWebinar,
Vimeo,
YouTube and
Vonage.
Here are a few examples of what can be achieved at a virtual event...
