Video: How I Wish I Had Known, with
Chantal DuPuis & Noel Paul Stookey.
"I encourage you in these challenging times to join me in support of the great and comforting work done by Cancer Connection.

As much as I believe in the power of song, I believe even more in the power of the person-to-person caring that Cancer Connection offers.

Your donation will be such a helpful and welcome confirmation of their continuing gift to our community."

-- Noel Paul Stookey, Singer Songwriter, "Paul" of Peter, Paul and Mary
Cancer Connection Community Members,

Our own Chantal DuPuis wished she had known about Cancer Connection when she was caring for her late husband Peter. Chantal said that "It’s not too late for you, you can still take advantage of these services, even though it’s remotely." She shares some of her story in our newest video, linked above.

Are you getting a bit of cabin fever during this pandemic? Noel Paul Stookey was moved to support Cancer Connection's free services by sharing his song "Cabin Fever Waltz" with us for this week's video. I think it captures what it's like to be so limited in what we can do right now. Right now it's so critical to keep each other as safe as we can through physical distancing.

And right now, we are almost to the finish line! Since we embarked on this journey together in August to save Cancer Connection as we know it, we have nearly raised the $250,000 needed by December 31st to survive 2020 intact. Today, December 15th, with 16 days remaining, we have been gifted $121,365 in donations, pledges, and grants and $115,509 in Thrift Shop sales. That's $236,874 total.

Please help us raise the remaining $13,124:

  • Spread the word.
  • Share our video.
  • Make your special gift.
  • Give again if you are so moved!
  • Have shopping to do? Consider shopping at Ten Thousand Villages in Northampton through Thursday, December 17. They will donate 15% of sales to Cancer Connection. (Remember to tell them you’re shopping in support of Cancer Connection.)
  • It's not too late to vote for Cancer Connection in the Florence Bank Customer's Choice Program.
  • Shop at our Thrift Shop at 375 South Street, Northampton, MA.

Chantal put her story out there so people can find comfort and strength at a difficult time and so we can ensure Cancer Connection is ready and able to serve all those who need our services.

Thank you to volunteers Frank Netto, video editor, and John Novak, videographer, for producing the How I Wished I Had Known/Cabin Fever Waltz video.

Our thanks also go to Noel Paul Stookey for sharing his music video with Cancer Connection for this campaign. If you like Noel Paul Stookey's music, you can put "CD please" in the notes when you make a PayPal donation online. You may be one of the lucky donors who receive a CD in the mail from Noel. If you like, you can share a photo of you with your CD and a quote about why you gave.

Please watch our video and share your feedback with us by replying to this email. Thank you for your support.

🎵 We have come this far by faith believing 🎵 ... believing in possibilities, believing in caring spirits, believing in compassion, believing in you.

Thank you!

Thank you for shopping, donating, sharing, telling others, fundraising, and caring for those facing cancer. You are awesome!

Lets together believe in the final $13,124.

Shalom, Peace, and Love,

Beverly
