Another Arbor Day LA In the Books!

We had an incredible time celebrating Arbor Day with nearly 300 volunteers in South LA this April. We hosted over 25 organizations at our resource fair where we offered environmental, health, and educational resources, and listened to some amazing music from talented artists, thanks to Replant the Forest Festival.
Thanks to supporters like you, and thanks to our many partners, we were able to plant 220 new trees in the neighborhoods surrounding the Mount Carmel Recreation Center. With only 12% tree canopy cover, South Los Angeles residents deserve the benefits of a lush urban canopy. Thank you for helping us grow tree equity in Los Angeles, and we hope to celebrate with you all again next year!

What about the drought & SoCal water restrictions?
Trees are critical, life-saving, climate resilience infrastructure, and we need them especially during this unprecedented drought. Southern California's water restrictions allow you to continue hand watering newly planted and mature trees on private property or in the public right of way.
It's important - and encouraged - to deeply water and mulch your trees this summer and throughout the drought.
