How Much Do You Know About Homelessness in Montgomery County?
You're an MCCH supporter, but how much do you know about homelessness in our community? Take the quiz to find out, and share what you learned with your family and friends!
Volunteers Needed at Men's Shelter
Support the men we serve at our shelter by volunteering at our Back to Work Center! We're looking for volunteers to work directly with clients seeking employment and additional training. Volunteers help clients edit resumes, find and apply for job opportunities, and prepare for job interviews.

OPEN VOLUNTEER SLOTS
Monday—Friday: 10 a.m.-12 p.m. or 1-3 p.m.
Saturday—Sunday: Anytime between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

All MCCH volunteers must complete a volunteer application and will be screened with a background check. To apply for this opportunity, please complete the  MCCH Volunteer Application or contact volunteer@mcch.net with any questions.

Thank you for your interest in helping us end homelessness in our community!
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Did you know October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month? Learn more about the connection between domestic violence and homelessness from  National Alliance to End Homelessness.

The leading cause of homelessness for families served by MCCH is domestic violence. Watch our client Oumou , who now lives in one of our permanent housing programs with her two daughters, share her story of transformation.
Donors Making a Difference
Due to limited financial resources, we aren't always able to provide clients with the items they need outside of basic household necessities. That's where a special group of people in our Urgent Needs Task Force Facebook group jump in and provide these items!

In September, over 45 items were provided by generous community members to clients in need, including an entire move-in kit for a new client!

If you want to help people who have experienced homelessness by providing the items they need, join this special Facebook group today!

Thank you for your commitment to ensuring that all Montgomery County residents have a safe, stable and affordable place to call home!

Sincerely,
