Meet the people behind the many 2021 Party in the Park events listed below...it doesn't just happen!
We are all members of the Litchfield community in one way or another. Some of us are community volunteers who are trying to make a difference by connecting as neighbors and friends, some of us are business members giving back to the community we serve, some of us are private organizations and clubs funding our missions to help local needs, some of us are saving to own brick and mortar buildings, and some of us are here just to HAVE FUN! No matter what the reason is, we look forward to this awesome community event.
So go ahead... scroll down. Let us write the story for you! Yes, there will be holes in the plans, but guess what that means? There is still space for YOU to become involved. Let's all come together to create the Litchfield we all imagine!

Mt. Zion Lutheran Church will be "popping in" with Kettle Stone Popcorn
Mt. Zion Lutheran Church will be selling Creekstone Kettle Works popcorn to raise funding for UCAN. UCAN serves five neighboring counties: Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, and Montgomery. Their mission is to effectively provide safe, confidential, and child-friendly interviews at centers for children ages 3-18. The children seen are affected by sexual abuse, physical abuse, or are witness to a crime. UCAN is a safe place to disclose their experiences. The child’s interview is recorded so that the child does not have to retell their story multiple times, which may often re-traumatize them.
UCAN works with a multi-disciplinary team which includes individuals from child protective services, law enforcement, the criminal justice system, and mental and medical health services.

In the recent years, Mt. Zion Lutheran Church has supported these local missions:

Litchfield Food Pantry
Back to School Bash, Ministerial Alliance
First Baptist Summer Lunch Program
Southside Education Station
Coats For Kids
Royal Family Kids Camp for Foster Children
Hearts United
Post Prom
LFD Police Drug Safety and Bullying Program
