We had a wonderful holiday party on December 7th and were able to collect an impressive amount of gifts to donate to the Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter (LAWS). This is an incredible non-profit offering free, confidential services to adults and children who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. Do You Have a DNR Order in Your Estate Plan?

If not, you may want to consider adding such an order to your plan, or at the very least include directives on how you want your end-of-life care to be managed. It is not recommended that you tattoo a DNR on your body, which is what a Florida man did recently. He was admitted to the hospital, unconscious, with a history of serious health problems and a high blood alcohol level. He had no identification and no family accompanied him to the hospital. But he did have "Do Not Resuscitate" tattooed on his chest.

Upon discovering the tattoo, doctors were presented with an ethical quagmire - comply with the directive or ignore it.

Did the doctors ignore the tattoo or did they comply with it? Get the answer here.
